"Asus Zenfone 4" has been officially introduced in India with a price tag of Rs5,999/- The modest price tag from a global brand is in itself sufficient to gather some good will and attention, but the spec sheet further adds to its appeal.
4 inch display has modes 480 x 800 pixel resolution, which is again not sharp as Moto E, but is good enough in this price range. The Zen fone 4 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly bean with chances of future Kit kat update. The software is customized with Zen UI which looks and feels similar to what is present on Asus fonepad.
Chipset used is Intel Atom 1.2 GHz dual core Z2520 with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1 GB RAM. Internal storage of 8 GB is something we like in this price range. The storage can be further expanded to 64 GB using MicroSD card support.
Imaging hardware is quite basic with 5 MP primary rear shooter and a VGA front camera handling your selfies and video chat. On paper this is the most you can expect in this price range. Battery capacity sounds average at 1600 mAh, but Asus claims 10 hours of talk time and 192 hours of standby time, which is decent enough.
Others features include Dual SIM functionality (both micro SIM 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. All this is packed in a 11.5 mm thin chassis available in Charcoal Black, Pearl White and Cherry Red colors only for Rs 5,999/-
